Clearly it took a week-long break due to the greatest, most beautifully splendid, snow storm I can remember to finally post an update on our lives. Two weeks ago, Ellie and I found out that we are having a baby GIRL!! During our appointment, we were reassured that everything to this point in the pregnancy looks great!! What a relief!!
Something most people don't know about me is that my favorite month of the year is January. I love feeling like I am starting off afresh every new year, even though I am clearly aware that I could feel this way about any particular date throughout the year. To bring in the glories of the new year, I bit the bullet and finally upgraded my video game system. I decided on the XBox360, thanks to the recommendations of many of my co-workers. The future may hold the purchasing of Guitar Hero, which was one of the main reasons for the upgrade. Other such joys that have come in this January include the following: Getting to spend a day skiing at 49 Degrees North with Joel Randall for his birthday, Having one of the greatest teaching moments of my budding career as I saw two students excited about math due to the somewhat easy understanding of long-division, going to see the movie Juno (we give this movie Two-Thumbs Up) and a 24-hour trip to the farm where we got to see our niece Brooke play in a basketball tournament.
Of all that has made this January so wonderful nothing compares to our joys found in our precious baby-to-be. Just this past weekend I was finally able to feel the baby kick...It was Amazing!! We are having a great time trying to narrow down the perfect nomenclature for our girl!! We have been getting lots of feedback from family members with great ideas...If you have one of your own please comment and let us know!!
