Gracie's First Combine Ride

Grace was such a big kid, being very excited to go ride combine with Daddy. She rode for 1/2 hour or so...Jeff said she got to steer, sang songs, and kept looking up over her shoulder at her dad. Pretty sweet. When she came back in, she said, "It was loud." Once was enough for her, but next year I'm sure she'll be out there frequently.

Cousins

One great thing about being at the farm is that we get lots of fun time with cousins Brooke, Abby, and Megan. This was after little girl baths--G'ma Joan has these really cool head towels...

Snapshots from the Farm

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin...

Harvest Week! The first day at the farm G'ma Joan asks, "What does Joshy do on his tummy?" Well, he's always had such a strong neck that I hadn't thought to put him on his tummy in months. So G'ma Joan puts him on his tummy and, whalop! He rolled instantly.

This was actually roll #2 of his life--my mouth was too busy hanging open during the first one to take pictures. Poor guy probably could've done this a month ago! :)

Adding Another to the Table

Gracie passed on her high chair before we went to the farm for harvest...

...and she loves her booster perch!

Josh loves to be up with the rest of us...

Reunited...

...and it feels so good! Ha! The Van Stickles finally came back after visiting family in Alaska for 5 weeks--right before we left for harvest! We had one fun evening to catch up in early August--we were entertained with gorgeous Alaska pictures and our very own little girl parade. We missed these guys!

Our Bag Lady

This girl loves purses, bags...anything she can throw on her arm and walk to "Fred Meyer" with.

Ding, dong. "Come on in!" Gracie has found the loop in our house. She starts out the garage door and comes in the front before she goes back out the garage again. This pic was taken right before she said, "I don't want to smile!" Taking too many pics?

Don't Cry, Annie...

...it'll grow back some day.

Our camera loves Drew. Actually, switch that phrase around. :)

Longview Wanderers

Drew and Annie came to stay for a few days in August. It is always so fun to spend time with them. We dream of them living within day-trip distance!

Thank you, Drew and Annie, for feeding our most recent addiction. They came over during nap time one afternoon to play our new expansion for the game Carcassonne.

Furry (and Not So Furry) Friends

We just got home from spending 12 days at the farm for harvest. I'm excited to catch up on blog pictures...we'll start with a few from pre-harvest...

Gracie loves CeCe, our neighbor's cat that likes to shed hair on our lawn furniture and meow at our slider. Sometimes CeCe lets Gracie pet her. Most of the time she's smarter than that.

John-Jacob is Gracie's doll...but Josh manhandled him a bit when I posed them for a look-alike picture. They both have cute baldy heads.
