And the Daddies are Glad We're Back!

I couldn't resist this picture of these two, who already look alike, wearing their matching outfits.  Jeff got a ton of writing done while we were gone--and even had a little fun with some friends here and there.
And Matt got the basement bathroom torn out, new pipes laid and recovered in cement, and…well, I'm not sure on logistics, but I saw 2x4's and pipes and could imagine where everything was going to go.  :)

Not quite the Spring Break that either of these men were dreaming of, but productive, nonetheless.  Making lemonade with their lemons, yes indeed.  And it was a sweet reunion for all.

Spring Break at Auntie's Resort

What are two mamas (each with three kids) to do on Spring Break when their husbands need to stay home and work?  They go to Auntie Julie's Resort in Kennewick, of course!  :)

Matt had to tear out the basement bathroom, and Jeff had lots of National Boards papers to write, so Heidi and I planned to get out of Dodge with the kids and flee to Julie's house.  She had break the week previous--she was in Spokane to help me with sick Josh!--so she had to go to work each day, but we had a little fun when she was at work and a lot of fun with her in the evenings.

Here are pictures of the spa treatment that the girls gave us upon arrival.  This was really needed, because our trip was made longer by a trip to the Ritzville Les Schwab to tighten lug nuts.  I pulled out at a rest stop to find one missing and the rest loose.  We were so thankful nothing dangerous happened--but this prolonged our trip and we were quite ready to get to Julie's by the end of it.

Even Micah got the royal treatment.

One of the evenings we went into the park in Richland.  Picnic, walk, rocks in the water, crazy goose chasing, and playground.

When Auntie came home early one day, she held Micah while I took a nap with the kids.

And it was HOT--at least to our still-chilly Spokane weather.  I believe it may have been 70 degrees in this picture.  :) Warm enough for sprinkler dancing.

It was such a nice getaway.  So nice that Heidi and I didn't want to return to our chores waiting at our own houses.  But, refreshed from our stay at the resort, we returned to Spokane, ready to tackle the rest of the school year.  Thanks for a fun three days, Auntie Julie!

March/April Moser Birthdays

From March 22 to April 22, the Moser family has SEVEN birthdays!!! Seven birthdays in a month!  This year Mom and Dad were in Israel for Abby and Megan's birthday, so this instigated a combined birthday gathering…where HALF of us were celebrated!  (This was 7 out of 15 of us!)  We thought it was sort of like Christmas, with half the stress!  :)

Activity books (with stickers!!!) from the Morrows and a...

…NERF dart gun from Ben and Kelly!

What a crafty auntie that Abby has!  :)

Ben got a totally inappropriate shirt from his older sister (and brother-in-law) who just got back from Vegas.
Oh, and did I mention the TMNT van?

It was a good day.  So fun to start off our break at the farm.  :)

Baby Alexa's Shower

We got to celebrate little Alexa--almost with us outside of the womb!--at the beginning of April.  Annie hosted, and Jen and Colleen and I helped with some of the details.

Angela got some great presents, and it was fun to think that a little girl was about to join our family.

An Early Start to Spring Break

This is the second year that Josh got me out of working the day before Spring Break.  The first time was in 2010, when he entered the world on the day that was supposed to be my last day at work.  The second was this year when he was up all night with an ear infection, the night before my last day of work.  Poor guy.  He couldn't lay down at all, was crying most of the night, and probably got only a few hours of sleep while propped upright in our bed.

Auntie Julie was staying with us that night, planning on watching the kids the next day for me.  We were so glad she was there--I don't think I could've gotten all three kids into Urgent Care on my own!  We got there at 8:00 when it opened, and I went ahead and had them check Micah's ears too, to make sure the fussy baby wasn't sick, too.  The picture above shows Josh on the mend, after antibiotics and the appointment.

Micah loves his Auntie Julie, too!

Later, when Gracie got home from her last day of Kindergarten, they played Memory with Auntie.

The School-Year to Remember

It was a memorable year for Mrs. Fuller and I to job-share!  Our kids have been stair-stepped…Grayce-8, Elyse-7, Gracie-6, Lilly-5, Josh-4, Mia-3…until now!  We skipped a couple of years and BOTH had our last babies during the 2013-2014 school year.
Such a memorable year!  We both had twin-days when we wore the striped maternity shirt--used first by me and then handed to Melissa!  I will never forget buying a pregnancy test for dear Melissa as a 6-month pregnant lady--right before school started in September.  And I won't forget her coming to see Micah at the hospital in November and me seeing little Evie in the hospital in May.  We love our new little additions, and really missed each other this year.  September, October, November, and March were our only months working together.  Miss Noel did a great job in our leave(s)…AND, the absence of one another made us really appreciate what a great duo we make!  [With Frozen coming out this year, we claimed the phrase, "We finish each other's…sandwiches.  Jinx!  Jinx again!  I never met someone who thinks so much like me!"]

And did I mention that not ONE other teacher wanted to drink the water in our classroom this year?  Something in THAT water...
