Kai and Kalei Sleep Over

Alea was sick the weekend before the V's left for Juneau, so she missed out on an overnight extravaganza at the end of June.  The girls slept outside and watched a HP movie, while the boys forted it up downstairs.  (They ended up sleeping up in their bedroom because it was "a little creepy" in the living room.)

From Camp to CampING!!!

Surprised the kids by picking them up from camp WITH THE CAMPER!  We decided to join the Van Sickles at Deer Lake for the weekend before they left for Juneau.  We also had Odie and Nels for the day, as their parents went to a wedding.

We had a great time at the camp resort!  Lots of swimming on this hot, hot weekend.

Josh was super tired this weekend.  Camp Spalding just took it out of him!

The Only Child

Micah helped Dad with the basement project while the kids were gone.  He missed his siblings, but liked all of the attention!

Grace and Josh attended Discovery Camp TOGETHER this year!  2nd-4th graders, already?!?

This was Joshy's first overnight camp without dad, and he rocked it!

We took our little monkey over to Monkey Island before we took off.  Our only child for the week!

Summer Stuff

...Abby went with me a few days to swimming lessons to help with the kids.  Jeff was busy...

...finding this LEAK in the basement!  We thought it was a crack in the foundation, but were happier to find this leak from our kitchen drainpipe.  Insurance covers this!  Jeff tore out the carpet, opened the wall, and after the insurance agent came through, he cleaned up the gunk and fixed the pipe with the help of Paddy.

"Mom.  Put this on the internet so people can see that I can be hired to pick up their pinecones."

Miss Leslie & Miss Cindy ROCK!!!

Micah was SO EXCITED to join the big kids in the land of swimming lessons this year.  We were at Miss Leslie's from 10:30-noon, taking three lessons in a row!
