It's beginning to (already!) look a lot like Christmas...

Whew! We got so much decorated (in our new house!) over the Thanksgiving weekend!  How fun this is to find new places for holiday decor!

The Griswald Family Tree!

Our Zags are back on the screen!  After the odd and sudden odd to last season, right before the NCAA tournament, we're SUPER excited to have them on our home screen again.  Everyone says they'll win it all this year--NO PRESSURE! Sheesh.

After a little morning rest, we ventured out to find the Griswald's Family Tree!  We wanted to find one in the Colville Nat'l Forest--$5 AND an adventure!

It turned out to be the LOVLIEST TREE and the LOVLIEST DAY.

An Unconventional (Covid) Thanksgiving!

What a weird Thanksgiving.  Ha!  We found ourselves completely grateful, amidst the disappointing year we'd been living through.  Jeff found a few words that helped describe our feelings of gratitude.  We started the day with a surprise outdoor cinnamon roll picnic at S & C's for Papa Scott's birthday.  And from there, we came home and made a dinner with our favorite foods:  ham, rolls, green bean casserole...and Grace and Jeff made a pumpkin cheesecake!  It was amazing!  There was also puzzling, football watching, fall decor gathering, and Christmas Movie Watching!!!

A memorable Thanksgiving, sweet in its own, non-traditional ways.

Almost Thanksgiving

On the three days before Thanksgiving, LSE taught online, as we'd had so many teachers with Covid that it was difficult to get enough subs to cover.  So we taught online for those three days, and the perk was that I could be home to keep an eye on things.
The two big presents Micah got for his birthday?  This awesome Lego ship and SHELVES in his room to display his legos from.  Jeff did a great job making these and putting them up.
We decided to stay home from the farm for Thanksgiving this year--a really difficult choice.  Many families were skipping a gathering this year, and with the outbreak at LSE, we thought it was the wisest choice.  But the hardest choice, for sure.  I sent with Katie these family rocks for Mom to use as place cards.  This was also a hard year because G'ma Trudy said it was too hard to have a big family gathering for Thanksgiving, so Mom only had Katie's and Ben's for her favorite family holiday. Meh.

Micah's Birthday!!! #7

Micah's birthday was on a Sunday this year, and his was the FIRST BIRTHDAY in our new house!  I had a fun time decorating in all new places.  Micah woke to gifts and then breakfast!

Chelsea gear.

We were still shying away from indoor gatherings as a society, so Micah got to have his own Covid Birthday, with friends and family stopping by to party in the driveway.  He didn't seem phased.

It was a super fun day to celebrate this youngest Lochhead!
Katie and the girls brought Micah his own Covid TP Birthday Present, AND a Christmas sweater for Nessa (that was too small for Maisy...and apparently too small for Ness!)
