Halloween 2021

 A giraffe, a safari ostrich-rider, and Link the elf walk into...Granny's apartment.  Ha!  Started with the grandmas again this year...and then the boys and I went to trick-or-treat with the Van Sickles in their neighborhood.  Josh was bound and determined to go through the haunted house.  And they all did!  Fear conquered!  :) Halloween was on a SUNDAY night this year.  For the record, this is a teacher's worst Halloween nightmare.  :)

Schneringers Visit

Our dear friends came to visit their Spokane crew in October.  We did the usual: some Greenbluff, some soccer watching, some calzones and taco bar.  They also got Ash's haircut!  We ate outside/in the garage for our friends who wanted a little more air flow.  It was so good to have them visit!

Lots of big Abby fans filled the stadium for her last home game.  Katie and I made signs and everyone dutifully waved them.  Abby did so well and was so appreciative of her fan base.

Ellie's 20th Whitworth Reunion

Back when we had Covid, I remember wondering if we would feel comfortable going to see Leslie Odom Jr. at the Fox Theater in October during my class reunion weekend.  I am so glad I went for it!  We felt fine being in a larger group...masks and vaccines required...and we even splurged and went out to The Wild Sage for dinner beforehand.  Fancy dinner, clothes, and show!  It was so fun to go out...the first in quite some time.  Leslie Odom Jr. was amazing! We ran into my freshman year roommate, Kendra, and her husband, and saw many familiar faces.  Dinner was so good that I had to take "Somebody Feed Phil" pics for the kids.  :)

 

Random Moments in our Life this Week

Micah got to go to Travis's house after school on a half-day for conferences.  Then he got to be with Odie and Nels on Thursday.  Friday he got to get his haircut when I went get a cut.  And Josh's guide wire popped out so I was trying to fix it while talking to Colin & 'Nea on the phone.  :)  Jeff got some Bob Ross love from a kid named Lane.  Extra credit for ten years.
