It was a lovely day to honor Papa LeRoy. So many of our family members, along with so many from the community, filled the church to honor this sweet man. Matt & Heidi came down to support us, as did Jodie Iverson. It was a long day trip, but a good day.

Tree-getting
We went up to the Colville forest again this year to find our $5 tree...this time we didn't know when to stop driving down "our road" and when we finally stopped, it was raining on top of snow cover. We were wet messes...but we found the best tree! It took a couple of days to finish decorating it this year...lack of lights, energy, and exhaustion in front of Nat'l Lampoons Christmas Vacation.
Jeff put up the exterior illumination again this year...it looks so great!
Vegging before the change in holiday seasons...
We had a few hours of breathing when we got back home...to do legos, watch soccer, and put fall decor away...

So Much to be Thankful For
We were eager to get to the farm for Thanksgiving, 1) to hug G'ma Joan and all those who loved Papa LeRoy, and 2) to meet our new little Nolan Thomas! The whole holiday felt the extremes of our gratitude for life...an ending and a beginning at every turn.
Colleen gave Kelly this quilt she'd made...
And Micah got his birthday pie with ice cream...yummm!
Green bean casserole QUEENS.
Sweet picture symbolizes our holiday.
