More Birthday for Josh

Josh had his friends over for a birthday gathering--they came home from school with him, played basketball, football, and soccer, ate pizza,  and spoiled him with gifts.  A sweet group of friends! Aiden, Nick, and Gavin

Josh's Birthday Trip to Kettle Falls Campground

For Josh's birthday, we decided to take the inaugural camping trip to Kettle Falls with the trailer.  We had a great time in an uncrowded site. We borrowed S&C's generator, and packed everyone's bikes.  Janie came too, which is always a bonus to have our bonus kid along.

The evening we got there, we took a fun hike that allowed Nessa to be off-leash [happiest pup alive!] and let Micah go down, down, down to the low water in the Columbia River. The next day we explored the bike paths that started near the campground. We will definitely be back to this area!  It was a fun time. PS--Jeff and I also learned how to dump the tanks for the first time at a gas station on the way home.  We'll get good at this!

Joshua Turns 12...

...and we had a family birthday party!!!  Lochheads and Largents and Swansons gathered to eat and watch basketball and watch Josh blow out candles.  It was a great time.  Josh loves having a #marchMadness birthday! The last picture is his last official picture as an 11-yr old...

Birthday Boyzzzz

It's that time of year again, when I look through the BlogBook to text the Van Sickle birthday boy the cutest pictures of these birthday boys that I can find.  Aren't these hilarious?!?  They're so little!!! Happy birthday, to our KaiGuy!!!

We Brought Home a Trailer!!!!

And it's in Boise!!! So from the farm party, we took off for Boise on Sunday morning, on our way to get the trailer. It was a long--BEAUTIFUL--drive, and the man who sold it to us was so helpful. We left there in the early evening, hoping to get to Pendleton before we stopped for the inaugural night in the trailer.  We did make it there...in the dark, around 9PM...in SNOW.  First back-in attempt by our family was between two banks of snow that had been plowed out of our spot.  I was worried about propane running out all night--hello, HEATER!--so I'd wake every time i got a little cold and would fall asleep as soon as I heard the heater turning on.  We skipped school on Monday to bring it home the rest of the way, and found a good spot in our driveway to place it.  Kind of blocks the view from the kitchen window, but I'm just thinking of all the sweet sunsets we'll see when we use it.  Good work, Team Lochhead!
