GG's Turns 92!
Impromptu Linnea Visit? Yes, PLEASE!
Linnea came into town to help her dad and Zach & Kate, and while we wish it were under different circumstances for a visit, we will not be picky! We'll take any visit we can get!!!
Josh is very excited to be able to TOWER over Linnea...

6th Grade Track
Josh decided to run track for the first time this year--alongside his buddies, Crosby and Gavin. He came home from practice one day saying he wanted to be a SPRINTER. Hmmm...I tried to steer him toward a long-distance event, as he is a SOCCER PLAYER, hello... But, as it turns out, he's pretty fast! He loved running against his buddies at Northwood and Highland. The kids and I tried to make it to Josh's meet, but there were SO MANY PEOPLE at the all-district meets that by the time we found parking and arrived, we had to leave to take Micah to soccer practice. But we had found the Largents in the stands, and Angela sent me this video of Josh winning his heat of the 100m sprint.

That dog.
We can't leave her alone, sleeping like a macaroni noodle on the couch...no, we have to put unicorn ears on her and watch her try to get them off with her tongue.

President's Cup Weekend in "Seattle Area"
Josh's team got to play two qualifying games for the President's Cup tournament. We were told they'd be in the Seattle Area, so we stayed the weekend with the Schneringers, even though we found out that the first game was in TACOMA and the second was in BELLINGHAM. Sheeesh! That's a big Seattle Area!
We got our share of game time in with our friends, and they even came to watch Josh play on Saturday.
On the way to Bellingham for Sunday's game, we got to find a Tulip Festival field as we started Chuckanut Drive...both were gorgeous!
Josh's team won BOTH of their games, so the next game in the tournament will be in Spokane! It was a LOOOONG drive home from Bellingham to Spokane after his game. We were all so tired, but it was such a fun weekend!

It's a tough job...
...but someone's gotta do it! I get to HIKE with kids for PE on Wednesdays.
Also, Luna asked to teach art this week. Doesn't she look BORN to be a teacher?!? She wanted to teach us about Van Gogh's Starry Night and even brought her own art book to teach from.

A Colfax Date for G'ma Joan's Birthday!
For G'ma Joan's birthday we decided to have a Colfax date! Mom and Kelly (and Jane and Nolan) came from the farm and Katie and I came from Spokane to meet at Tick Klock Drug. We had lunch and coffees and shopped at the businesses that were open (on Easter Monday, oops!). We ended our time seeing Kim and Nate's house down the block from TKD. Super cute home! It was a fun day to get a few new treasures, while celebrating OUR TREASURE: G'ma Joan.

Our first Easter at the Lowe House
I think I called DIBS on Easter hosting once we set our new routine: Thanksgivings at the farm, Easters in Spokane. This was a fun day! Everyone brought food, so it wasn't too much work--and everyone needs a deadline for house-cleaning! :)
The easter egg hunt was the best! Adults hid eggs, kids found them. Jen and Ang brought the eggs, FILLED with candy and special prizes.
