Portland Spring Break--Day 5

Micah loved Smudges.  He would snuggle on the blanket with her any chance he got.

Heidi and I went to the zoo while Jeff and Matt worked on the house.  Two moms and six kids, all over that zoo!

Look at these wiped-out kids!  We really saw everything.

Tired mommies treat kids to ice cream.  We ate back at Matt's family's house.

Portland Spring Break--Day 4

We got to meet the little girl that Linnea is nannying.  We'd been hearing about her for MONTHS, so it was awesome to meet her.  And just saying, this family is the luckiest family in Portland, folks.  'Nea is the best!

We went for a walk to the local park to let the kids squirm and to get a coffee before meeting up with the Van Sickles.

OMSI for the afternoon!  It was so fun.

We did the tram with the girls...quite the view, even with the clouds.

And Salt & Straw had to happen.  We love Portland food!  And so fun to share it with Kaitlyn and Linnea!

Portland Spring Break--Day 2

This is Linnea's place!  So cute and QUAINT!!!

Gracie found a NARWHAL in the local toy store.  She was working on a report on the narwhal at school and had never seen a stuffed animal narwhal.  Instant love.  But way too expensive.  :)

We had to go check out Beverly Cleary park, after having read almost all of her books this past year.  Josh found Ribsy, Gracie found Ramona, and both kids thought Henry was too creepy looking to pose by...

And then we surprised Kalei by showing up for her 13th BIRTHDAY DINNER!  She wasn't expecting us until later that week.

And we topped the night off with hot tubbing on Phil and Becky's deck!  What a great start to vacation!

Portland Spring Break--Day 1

Spring break was so fun for us this year!  We were excited to go see Linnea in Portland, and as TWO bonuses, Kaitlyn wanted to go along with us, and the Van Sickles were going to Portland as well to work on Matt's grandma's house.  So the week had so many of our favorite people in it, and a road trip in the sunshine kicked it off.

Linnea's parents, Phil and Becky, were gracious hosts to us over the week.  We had the whole basement to spread out in...

...complete with indoor tent for munchkins to sleep in!
