Carmen & Zach--The Wedding

The other day, Jeff said something that amazed me:  he couldn't remember Zach without Carmen.  I stopped to think.  Jeff and I are coming up on SEVEN years of marriage...so I think that means if there's a contest for dating THE LONGEST, these two would win it!  On May 27 this year, they got married!  Their ceremony and party were held at a lovely venue called "The Bishop's House," in Boise, ID.  Gracie was THRILLED that they asked her to be their flower girl--and the wedding just happened to be on her 4th birthday!!!  (Thanks for giving us an easy date to remember for your anniversary, Z and C!)  Here Gracie is with the bride and groom at the rehearsal dinner.

A Boise wedding, of course, meant TRAVEL!!!  The Moser clad decided to caravan down together:  Katie's and Ben's family in one rig and Mom & Dad with our family in the van.  I didn't know how traveling with FOURTEEN BLADDERS was going to go, but it was actually a great time to spend together.  Memorable moments include:  newborn blowouts at Subway in New Meadows (that baby Millie is the sweetest thing!), quick stops to purchase tobacco for a couple of boys, more than one viewing of "The Incredibles" in our van, and Jeff keeping up with his wingman, Ben, and trying to communicate "Potty Stop Needed!" when our phones were out of service.  It was a gorgeous 6-hour drive through Idaho.

And it also meant:  HOTEL!

Josh and Grace hadn't remembered hotel visits, so elevators, suitcase carts, and complimentary breakfast buffets were quite exciting for them.

This is Gracie on her way to the wedding!  So excited...

We got to see a lot of the pictures being taken.  Here is Zach and Carmen with his (and our) family--Tom and Christi and Megan.

We peeked out over the balcony of this beautiful Victorian house.

Their photographer was really nice to let us snap away during the photo session...the bride and groom looked gorgeous and happy!

Carmen was stunning!  And Gracie was so excited to be a part...

Gracie and Mom (thanks for the pic, Megan!)

Handfuls of petals, plopped on the runner...

Very happy, and overwhelmed, Carmen

Their pastor did a great job telling their story!

They have this elegant dip DOWN!

 Time to party, people!

Sweet girl cousin grins...and Joshy's smolder.  A wild table!

Or is THIS the wild table?  :)  The Moser side of the family took up quite a few tables...Dobroths, Mosers, Kinzers, more Mosers, Morrows, Lochheads, and even MORE Mosers...

Katie chatting with Pam and Brad

The Moser siblings:  Christi, Greg, Brad, and Cindy.  Uncle Bill wasn't able to make it...we missed him!

The cake was delicious...

...and the entertainment was...predictable?  :)  My father, the comedian.  (BTW, that Uncle Brad laugh that you see is the classic Moser cackle!  Notice how every tooth is exposed in the laugh?  My dad and his siblings have this laugh, I have it, and now I see it in little Josh, believe it or not.)

These two had a choreographed dance to start off the party.

Christi kept waiting for Zach to do some fancy move, I think!

Brooke takes lovely pictures, by the way.  I'm pretty sure she took 100...

And there was DANCING...

This girl was cracking us up!  The ponytail came out and she was a wild woman!  (I think she liked the feel of her hair swoooooshing!)

The girls, preparing to catch the bouquet.  Look how serious the preparation is!

The victor!  Victoress?  I have never laughed as hard as I did when Abby LUNGED for the bouquet...she caught it and as she jumped up in excitement, her legs slipped out from under her! The result: a perfectly unplanned pair of SPLITS...with the bouquet held up high, in triumph.  Katie and I were crying with laughter.  That Abby girl...

Always looking for bugs.

One last look at the crowd before they leave...

And they're off...

Honeymooning in Hawaii and then...who knows?  I'm sure they haven't even thought past the wedding week.  What a beautiful day it was!

It was a great whirlwind three days.  Before we knew it, we were back in the car for the return trip.

Such a fun family weekend!
