Gracie and I were so excited to be part of the "Abby & Megan PIT CREW" at their dance competition earlier this month! Katie was busy putting a school auction together, so G'ma Joan and I got to dive into the world of DANCE! Gracie was in her heaven because she got to SKIP HER NAP, and the girls danced so well. It was such a fun day!

So we had to get the girls ready here at the house before we went down to the Convention Center. Two different costumes, make-up, tights, curlers & ribbons, and FAKE EYELASHES!!! I was pretty proud of G'ma and I--we only had to call Katie 3 times! :)

And I could enter this pic in a contest--those eyelashes add a LOT of personality!
Abby is quite the dancer--she has amazing "facials" that make her look professional. We were quite impressed.
Megan did a great job, too! My favorite memory of the day was when Megan had to be changed in two minutes, between dance numbers. G'ma Joan and I were waiting, stripped her down, got her new costume on, and sent her off, giving one another high fives as she skipped away to the side stage. Thirty seconds later she came running back, shouting, "I have my leotard on backwards!" G'ma was laughing so hard that she couldn't function, so I had her jump out, flipped it around, had her wiggle back in, and ZOOM, she was off! G'ma and I couldn't stop giggling. What a "Pit Crew" we were!

And they were victorious!!! They danced so well that they each had to take home a trophy, because their instructor didn't have enough arms to carry them to her car! So very exciting!!! Nice job, Abby and Megs--you are becoming very skilled performers!
