Just for the record, we went into our appointment thinking this little one was a girl! I got to see him on ultrasound at 10 weeks and he was so docile--quite unlike his big brother Josh, who was bouncing around like a jumping bean at that stage--so I was convinced he was a girl. We were telling this to our ultrasound technician as she placed the gooey gel on my belly and she quickly said, "Well, that's not what I'm seeing...those are testicles..." What a surprise! We were overjoyed.
We left the kids with G'ma Dianne for the afternoon, and when we picked them up we brought popsicles. We told them that if we pulled out a box of PINK popsicles it was a girl, and if we pulled out BLUE popsicles it was a boy. Out came the BLUEBERRY popsicles...
"It's a BOY?" Gracie said with wide eyes, putting the pieces together. We nodded. She grinned.
"I wanted STRAWBERRY!!!" shouted a disappointed Joshua who had forgotten his manners. Apparently the color/gender correlation was beyond him at age 3...
Later that night, we prayed to thank God for the little BROTHER that was going to join our family. Joshy said, "It's a BOY in there?!?" It was new news to him! "Yay! I'm glad it's not a GIRRRRL!" And Gracie gets to keep her reign as the only Lochhead girl!
We love you already, Little Rodney Walter! :) Or is it Xavier Axel? George Simon? Boz (little green cartoon bear) is Joshy's request...

Oh my goodness! How exciting! I LOVE all your name options ;) How fun to go on this journey again. I hope this pregnancy is kind to you. We can't wait to meet and read all about the newest Lochhead.
Such great news! I saw this on facebook but loved here about the ultrasound visit and the name options too! Rodney Walter is cute :) Excited for the Lochhead family to expand. Enjoy all the cravings!
