We're Reaaaaady...

The countdown is on…five days until Littlest Lochhead's due date…

Look at this cute crib bedding that Linda (aka Twinkles) and Annie made for us!
G'ma Colleen made receiving blankets to match!

Diapers, changing table, new sign...

…camping theme picture and trees…

…baby seat and car seat washed and ready for round THREE…

…BINKIES and hospital gear ready to be packed…

…a place we are hopeful he will sleep…

…conferences and report cards done, sub hired and instructed, and toenails DONE!

Any time, Little Buddy...

Some days...

…you've gotta dance.

And when those times hit, pants are optional.

Cousin Love

These three adore each other!  I don't think it will ever grow old watching them play together...

Disney on Ice, 2013

It was magical!!!  Thank you, G'ma Joan and Papa Greg!!!

This year it was mostly Ariel, Rapunzel, and Merida.  Gracie's favorite, of course was Ariel.

Jeff and I loved the creatures in, "Under the Sea." (not this pic!)

And Josh's favorite was Maximus--there were two people inside that costume!

One Really Long Shower

The floor was clean when I got into the shower…

November Leaves

On November 1 we trekked down to the farm for our last weekend away before Littlest Boy Lochhead was due to arrive.  The occasion:  Levi's last home FB game!  It was so fun watching his game at Colton--all the Mosers were present and the kids (Abby, Megan, Gracie, Joshy, and Millie!) walked the sidelines with Auntie Sheyanna THE WHOLE GAME!!!  What a blast!

Unfortunately, no pics of that.  Too cold.  BUT, on Sunday we postponed leaving early to help G'ma rake her leaves and put the snow tires on the van!  Now these are some fun pics!

We were picking leaves out of her hair all evening!

The LOOT

And there were tears on the day after Halloween when Mom only let them have ONE piece for breakfast...

Halloweenies...

On the Sunday before Halloween, the cousins got together to have a costume parade at G'ma Colleen and Papa Scott's…aren't they cute?!?

I almost caught the hoard of paparazzi parents with a row full of cameras and iPhones…

And then on the actual trick-or-treat date, we hauled over to Whitworth to visit our favorite college students in their dorms.  Kaitlyn is an RA this year and arranged for her hall to have candy ready for our door-knocking kids.  Christina lives in Duvall this year, so we got to go see her room, too!  And then on our way home Linnea called us over to her house off-campus to dig into her candy stash, as well…so fun to be spoiled by these girls!

And of course we saved the best for last--Granny and Pappy's!  They were sweeter than the cookies and candy they dished out.  They found out we hadn't eaten yet and fed us the rest of their pizza dinner!  So fun to visit with them...

Pappy from Joshy's perspective…

Oh, yes…and these were the Halloween presents that G'ma Joan and Papa Greg sent the kids…

Spoiled rotten.  Just like their TEETH after this holiday...

Auntie Julie's Birthday…and her New House!

This sweet auntie had a birthday at the end of October, AND she had just moved into her new house the month before…this was all the excuse we needed to go visit her for the day!  So on a Saturday we made the trek to the TriCities to spend the day with her.  The house is AMAZING, we went out for delicious homemade Cougar Gold mac and cheese, and we even got to see Trina while we were there.

Good thing Auntie and Trina thought to carve a pumpkin--that is one project these tired parents didn't choose to tackle this year!

Only aunties would let you carve pumpkins on their brand new floor…

We were quite obsessed with Ollie and his automated doggy door--his collar opened and closed it!

What a fun, silly day!  Thanks for having us, Auntie!  Happy, happy birthday!

October iPhone Collage

I'm taking more and more pictures of everyday life on my iPhone…and they must be recorded in our family photo album!  This has created a new technology challenge for me--but one that I'm having fun with.  :)  Here are a few randoms from my phone...

I ordered the kids' costumes online this year, thinking that at 8-months pregnant, shopping around at stores was not going to be happening!  Josh knew that his costume was coming, so for two days in a row, we stalked the mailbox.  I've never checked the mail 4 times each day, but Josh thought that was completely normal.  This is the triumphant moment that took place after the package FINALLY arrived...

One Friday while Gracie was in Kindergarten, Josh and I had a coffee date at Whitworth with our Linnea--having a kid on campus is almost as attention-getting as a puppy.  Not a lot of deep conversation, but plenty of messy muffin all over the floor, coloring at the table, and "oohs" and "ahhhs" from friends as they walked by.  :)  This is a pic of Joshy recording Linnea recording our date for Instagram...

School pictures came back!  I had to take pics to send to Daddy at work…pretty darling!

And I couldn't get enough of this view earlier this month.  Did I like it best with the sun streaming through the trees or the fog enveloping them?  Love our backyard colors!

We were so proud of Gracie!  She volunteered at school with her friend, Ivy, to stand up and recite the phonics challenge…"A, apple, /a/...B, bat, /b/...C, cat, /c/..." and she was rewarded by getting to go down to the principal's office to get a pencil!  We had heard of this challenge and weren't sure if our quiet girl would ever volunteer for such a challenge…but she did it!  Good work, Gracie!

And one morning Daddy felt inspired to make Mickey Mouse pancakes with the kids…love these grins.

Five Grandkids + Cookie Frosting + Sprinkles = ONE FUN MESS!

One brave grandma and the taste-testing grandpa…

And the dramatic pose after the hurricane moved on…  :)

40 Years of Wedded BLISS

Mom and Dad celebrated their FORTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY this October!  We surprised them with dinner out at The Brass Lantern in Genesee.  We tried to keep it a secret, that is.  Mom kept trying to plan her own party…and we kept trying to thwart her plans…  :)
Delicious prime rib, seafood, and adult beverages…without kids!!!  What a treat!  We had such a great time just visiting and hearing everyone's stories...

And of course for the 40th we had to guess the top 40 songs from Kasey Kasem's Top 40 from 1973…Dad knew most of them!

Thanks for holding us all together the last 40 years, Parental Units!  We are blessed by you!
