The Farm Cousins Visit

Cuddle mornings are too cute to not snap pictures of...

Lauren and Millie brought their parents to Spokane on this sweet day in April!  Uncle Ben had just finished spring work and had an ITCH to get away after such a long season.

We love it when family comes to visit!  :)

Kai Guy and Mac & Cheese

It happens on a regular basis around here.

1.  The Van Sickle and Lochhead kids are like magnets for each other.  Actual quote from Josh this week:  "I miss the Van Sickles.  We haven't seen them since...yesterday."  Delivered in a very sad voice.

2.  These boys like Annie's M&C SO MUCH that I can't bring myself to change up the routine.  I have combated this bad habit by....A) throwing some fruit on the plate beside the processed calories, AND B) by saving our M&C meals for the days that Kai shows up.  Ha!

I keep telling them they're going to turn into big noodles.  They don't seem to care.  :)

Megan's Getting MAAAAAARRIED...

My cousin Megan is the baby of the Moser family--and she's getting married!  This is great news for many reasons, but the most immediate is it gives us reason to get together and party!  Now that G'ma Caroline--our hub!--is gone, we are always looking for these reasons to bring us all together.  In April, Mom and I took a road trip to Boise--with Gracie and Little Megan--to be part of Megan's bridal shower.  She and Jeff (yes, her fiancĂ© has a great name) were up from CA for the weekend and we were delighted to spend time with them.

The shower was at Jeff's parents' house, which is just a few blocks from Tom and Christi's--turns out they saved a lot of gas money in their high school dating years!

After the trip down to Boise we got to stretch our legs at the park nearby--and got spoiled by seeing little ducklings and goslings!

Don't we all love a great bridal shower game?  :)

...or do we?  :)  During the wedding dress design portion of the afternoon, Gracie and Megan got to become the Siamese Twin Bride.  Very memorable.

We were so excited to get to spend time with Erin and her kids, Conner and Whitney, and loved getting to see--and stay in--Zach and Carmen's new house!  It's a beautiful home, complete with beloved pets.

It was such a great weekend to reconnect.  Family time is the best!
Now for the (Sasquatch?) wedding in  July!

Jeff's Favorite Season

It's always a better day when Jeff can bike to work!  He loves it.  He gets that thing that I hear runners get--some sort of high after so much torturous activity?  Yeah, he gets that.  Endorphins are our friends.

Linnea's Senior Art Show

She had this idea looming for a while, so when she called Jeff one day in April to go to the junkyard, he was ready for the adventure.  Three car doors later...

Well, it wasn't all THAT easy...4,000 ft. of black crochet thread and 400 wall tacks later, our little spider created this piece.

It was TRULY intricate.  And beautiful.

She did such a great job.  It was a great evening to celebrate all she'd created during her time at Whitworth.  We keep rooting for the Art Therapy career choice for this lady...it would be such a great fit for her.

And date night complete with Didier's on the way home!
