The Midway Carnival!!!

We were there, peeps.  Thirty whole minutes of bouncy castles, carnival games, and cotton candy.  Just enough time before Grace was off to soccer practice.  :)

Deck Hangin' as long as we can...

And the perk of being on the same team...playdates save you from a day of sisters' soccer games!

Fall has arrived in the Lochhead House!

I've been having a lot of decorative and CHALKBOARD fun!  The red chalkboard is ours and the white one I did for Heidi.  I love how they turned out.  Let the chilly temps and colored leaves commence!

Nels Andrew is ONE, people.

Little Nels

*BRUD*

turns one!

A year after his memorable--prayer-filled!--arrival, we have a sweet, easy-going, happy boy...
and his sweet mama looks on with laughter.
We are so blessed!

It was such a fun fall evening at Slick and Bama's shop--kids playing outside, adults visiting, and all of us celebrating a sweet one-year-old boy!

Soccer is our LIFE...or at least our Saturdays...

The Blue Dolphins
with Coach Swenland(s)

Grace loves her soccer team: Kayli, Keira, Kylie, Kelsey, Gracie, and newest additions Emma, Ava, Alexis, and Gabby. This is the first year to have a goalie, and Grace said she was a little nervous about that, but the nerves were short-lived.  This season Grace felt quite comfortable when she was playing what Jeff tells me is the Sweeper position--the last line of defense before the goalie.  It seemed she had time to process a little more before the ball came to her...our little observer! Practices were still on Fridays at Meadow Ridge...

We also got to see a few of Alea and Kalei's games this season!  The Van Sickles were at the field for even more hours than we were!

The Maroon Monster Machines
with Coach Nate

And Joshy LOVED his first year of 3-on-3 soccer.  This was WAY more exciting than Soccer Tots and Josh loved being with his teammates:  Mason, Macks, Kai, and Jackson.  How fun to be with his best buddy, Kai, on a soccer team.  Practices were Tuesday nights at Farwell.

Even though at Joshy's age they "don't keep score," we found that Josh may be a statistician, like his father.  We caught him keeping track of his GOALS.  Just a *smidge* competitive?

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Uncle Matt coached Alea's team this year, and their practices lined up with the boys' practices.  So Grace got to go watch them practice each week and hang out with Kalei.
