What is he proclaiming?

"We all can't poop!"

Sort of a long story...but one day I was giving Micah plums at the table to help aid his digestion, and the big kids wanted some too.  Somehow Micah understood that as EVERYONE was having trouble with their digestion, and...well, this phrase was born.  And now this story lives on, and he quite often stands on the chair and says it all over again.  Hopefully never in a restaurant.

Stellar Conferences

Spring Conferences provided Mom and Dad with just enough pride of their kids' achievements to take them out to Red Robin to celebrate.  We love it when their teachers have such good things to say!

Surprise Tauntings

My daughter LOVES to tease me about who her favorite mother is...  One time she answered, "G'ma Joan" when I asked her who her favorite mother was, and it got just the right reaction for her!  Now she brings it up from time to time. This time it appeared on my grocery list.

He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!

And the day after Joshy's birthday was EASTER this year.  We went to church in Cowles Auditorium on a rainy Easter Day to celebrate our Risen Lord.  And OF COURSE there were donuts back at the church.  We didn't mind getting soggy walking over to those!

Then Easter Brunch was at Papa Scott and G'ma Colleen's house.  Great food, family, and obviously, fun.  Only Angela's family didn't make it.

 

And this picture Josh will be teased about forever... I think he's riding a horse...?  Ha!

Josh is SIX, people!

Josh's birthday was on a Saturday this year, so his party was on THE DAY OF...!  He woke that morning to see three presents from the family...

...a mummy bag, a headlamp, and LEGOS.

Based on the Sleeping Cake-Maker picture viewed in the last post, you may have guessed that Joshy's parents woke VERY EARLY to decorate his cake this year.  Lego Ninjago was his theme and Daddy provided!

In one of his "Joshy Days" with Granny, Josh asked Granny if she'd make him a quilt.  He requested blues and greens and FISH on it.  She is the sweetest sucker lady! :)

Josh couldn't wait for company to leave, so he found the quietest spot to start his Garbage Truck Lego set that the Van Sickles got him...

And we closed out the birthday night by having frozen yogurt at Didiers!  Josh's choice.

And in some cases, they go to sleep and wake up a YEAR older.  "Mom--don't you want to take a picture of me before I turn six?" A picture taken the night before your birthday has become a tradition in our family--often remembered by the kids before the parents!  I hope this energy and zest for life doesn't disappear when six comes...

Partying wears him out.  We were supposed to be up making a lego cake the night before Joshy's party.  This is my right-hand man, ready to party prep!  Ha!

Happy Birthday, Kai!!!

Kai turned SIX.  He was born yesterday, we blinked, and now he's half of a dozen years old.  We were very excited to celebrate this boy and started at Wonderland.  Mini-golf in the basement with black lights should be the ONLY way to celebrate a sixth birthday.  :)  The party then moved to the V's for presents and cake.

 

Grammy and Papa were visiting from Alaska!  Well, actually from Portland, where they had been fixing up G'ma's house to sell...but at any rate, they were here!

 Legos are his love language.

 We gave Kai a membership to AJ (no-brainer!) and Josh wanted to help him set up his account RIGHT NOW.

March Birthdays at the Farm

These lucky grandkids have birthdays in the same week!  Abby 3/22, Josh 3/26, and Millie 3/29.  So all three of us Moser siblings has a child with a late March birthday.  We started having a Farm Birthday Party for these three last year, and continued it this year.  I thought Josh might feel saddened by having to share his birthday, but I overheard him bragging to Gracie, "I have THREE birthdays: party at school, party at home, and party at THE FARM!"

Joshy was IN NEED of another AJ membership and the Morrows delivered!

He really is fun to give gifts to...his face doesn't disappoint.
