Farm Jam

There were some good labels from this year of jam.  I crack myself up with every PBJ.

The REST of Memorial Day Weekend

Pappy spent several weeks at Royal Park.  We loved to go visit...sitting in his wheelchair, walking around the halls, putting together puzzles in the gathering room, and eating cookies that Granny had stocked up in his room.  He worked so hard in therapy to be able to go home...

Stinkin' cute.

Van Stickle kids thought it was time to send their parents away for a bit,  so they came over to spend the evening with us.  First was a round of Forbidden Island!

And THEN on to s'mores!

And then Daddy surprised the kids with a sleep in the camp trailer!

I was there, too, just for the record.

The Narwhal Party

This year, in second grade, Grace got to pick a sea creature to research and write about.  The narwhal was her OBVIOUS first choice.  And when selecting a theme for her birthday party, the Narwhal Party was the next obvious choice.  So when thinking about a cake, we decided to venture outside the box...

Narwhal party supplies...complete with Grace's PowerPoint Presentation from her report!

We love this sweet girl!!!

The cutest narwhal at the party!

And I can't throw sweet birthday notes away, but I've gotten to taking pictures of the sweet words before we find another place for them...

Paper Creations by Josh

I am pretty sure that this year in kindergarten, Josh brought home his weight in paper crafts...daily.  This was his latest...piles of paper slips that he patiently taped together to make this MASSIVE paper chain for Gracie's birthday party.

EIGHT IS SO GREAT!!!

First thing on her birthday morning--the yearly measuring!  An inch and a half is no big thing...what?!?

One of Grace's presents was a new lunch box.  Micah and I surprised her at school with it!

And then we came right back at the end of the day with ice cream bars for her class.

And this year Grace wanted to invite a couple of girls over to go out for ice cream on her birthday.  Faith and Jayla made her day so sweet!

And the day ended with NARWHALS from her brothers.  Could it get any better?!?!  Oh, wait.  Her birthday party is tomorrow!
