Snow! ...and the things that went with it...

Over Thanksgiving break Grace made her airplane in her favorite theme:  NARWHAL!

And on this Monday we awoke to SNOW!

Kalei and Heidi watched Micah for me while I went somewhere that I can't remember...but when I came back, Micah had Kalei out rolling a snowman!  They had so much fun!

Today I snuck the new teal frame into Grace's room...what doesn't sell at the craft fair ends up in our house!  :)

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

Linnea and Colin joined us in our Holiday Tree Aquiring this year!  We went out to the REAL Dietz farm and got a great deal on a great tree--and a great tractor ride out to cut it down!

After a solid 30 minutes of indecision, the perfect tree finally found us!

Tree up, lights up, decorations up, AND outdoor lights...in one day?!?

Housesitting Shenanigans

We "moustache" Linnea and Colin how their housesitting went over Thanksgiving! 😂

Auntie Camp 2016

That Auntie Sheyana is a crazy (brave!) lady!  She hosted FOURTEEN children in her shop the Saturday after Thanksgiving for her annual Auntie/Grammy Camp!  The kids love this time--they get to create Christmas gifts for their parents AND play at Auntie's house!
The Morrows and Lochheads visited G'ma and Papa across the street during camp hours.  G'ma and Papa put us to work decorating their house for Christmas!

A Thanksgiving to Remember

Just a little pic for my collection.  Only sent to Linnea as a funny...
This is how teachers feel when Thanksgiving break hits:

So, the farm was quite quiet when we got there.  Mom and Dad were hoping to have Dad discharged from the hospital today, and eventually DID get discharged, but we arrived to an empty house and were missing the essential farm factors: G'ma and Papa!  We all pulled together to try to pull off Thanksgiving at Mom's...Kelly cleaned up the house and helped Ben clean the garage, I called aunts who wanted to help provide EVERYTHING (God bless them!), and Katie helped with arranging the tables that Jerry brought over that night.

I DID get to do the stuffing!  Only THREE phone calls to mom...

The Moser rig got in that night close to midnight.  Dad was quite happy to be home, but we finally got to see just how intense his surgery was.  Brady was an excellent nurse, and he stayed up most of the night with Dad so that Mom could finally sleep.  We were so glad to have him home.

We were so excited to celebrate SEVENTY YEARS OF MARRIAGE for these two sweethearts!

Dad came out for a victory lap at the end of the day!

And one more pic for the day!

The ACTUAL birthday...have we partied enough, yet?

Presents saved for Micah's ACTUAL birthday...Grace gave him a book, Josh gave him Melissa & Doug vehicles, and Mom & Dad got him the train set!  And in all of this, I was conferencing at school!  C'mon, Thanksgiving Break!  Where are ya?

We Meet London, We Meet France...

Megan got her new kitten!  London Morrow...she's a SPAZZ CAT!!!  Love these videos of Brady and his CATFISH fishing skills!

Get better soon, Papa Greg!

The day after the party, we had to send this pic and video to Papa in Seattle.  He had surprise neck surgery this week.  On Monday, the Seattle surgeon saw his MRI, called him immediately, and told him to be there by 7am tomorrow, wearing his neck brace.  Eeek!  He got there Tuesday, and on Wednesday he endured a 10-hour surgery to support/free-up his spinal cord, which was being pinched whenever he straightened his neck.  It was such a long week for him and Mom!  These helped until we could see them at Thanksgiving...hopefully!

...and Papa Scott turns SIXTY!!!

Surprise!  We all didn't go too far...later that afternoon we gathered for a surprise party for Papa Scott!  He was COMPLETELY surprised!  So many people came to celebrate Scott--friends and family filled the Lochhead House!
