Our Christmas Eve REALLY was filled with delight. a) Pre-dawn heavy snow left the world looking as it should on this day. B) Jeff and Drew got in a great run before the kids mustered up too much energy after waking. iii) Christmas Eve at the Lochheads began early with Egg Dish and mimosas. We had a wonderful day in the basement with family, but were sad to not have Harvey and Dorothy able to be there. G'pa wasn't doing well, and spent most days in bed, these days. We saw him the day before and chatted upon his bed about being a Lochhead meant SKIING. :) 4) We made it to the Children's Service at church, and sat with the Van Sickles, though Micah was asleep on my shoulder for most of it. V) Take-out from Taste of Thai happened, although I think we just made mac and cheese for the kids...? My memory... F) Auntie Debbie and Uncle Randy sent an ENORMOUS present this year, and we opened it on Christmas Eve. An easel!!! We were excited to think that we could leave this duplicate easel at Auntie's house when she moved here in February! We also opened up games from Debbie's parents, Yancey and Gregg. Which led us to... vii) Game night! Monkey's Up and Moose in the House! 8) We all got a little sad, realizing that Phil the Elf had to return to the North Pole for the remainder of the year. Josh wrote him a little note and we took family pics with him. Until next year, Phil-ster!
