2018 comes to a close...

Sheeesh.  It seems like I just wrote last year's reflection!  Time is flying while we are having fun.  What a precious time in life this is...the kids are getting more independent each day and we (mostly) enjoy their antics.

M-I-C-A-H...this was Micah's second year of preschool and his first year being on a soccer team! He still loves crafts and rocks, collecting both to decorate/litter his room.  He loves riding his bike, skiing, playing soccer, and singing while he plays.

J-O-S-H-U-A...this was the year that Josh entered 3rd grade.  He adores his days with Mrs. Cong and is working his way through the HP and Dogman books.  He is quite obsessed with soccer, playing with Kai on a SYSA team this year and with 90+ during the indoor months.

G-R-A-C-E...this was the year that Grace entered 5th grade.  Mrs. Holbrook is the best in many ways, but mainly because of her use of the 40 Book Challenge.  Grace is already in the 30's by Christmas.  Grace is busy working on her whit, most days, and is so excited to be 10.  Oh, and she got glasses.

Our days are mostly routine--I have the first part of the week off and Micah and I visit Granny and take kids to piano lessons at Sarabeth's and volunteer   There's usually a soccer (FOR THREE KIDS) or basketball practice/game schedule keeping us busy, and Dad has lots of events with MEAD Alternative.

This was the year that Grace turned TEN and we celebrated...in Maui!!!  It was such an amazing ten days.  Jeff got to take his students to Hamilton, the Van Sickles moved into their new house, and Colin and Linnea got married!!!  This is the year that the Sierra tipped and Jeff got his Tundra, and the year that we made so much progress on the basement.

It has been a good year for our family--celebrations of growth and change mixed in with bittersweet moments of change.  We are so grateful for all that we were given!  Now--off to print our next installment of memories!
