We told the kids to get in the car the next morning, not telling them where we were going, but we'd packed a lunch, as we knew everything would be closed between here and Montana. The kids thought we were going on a hike or some outdoor adventure. When we told them we were going to go meet a puppy they did NOT believe us--at least Grace didn't. There were lots of squeals of excitement and we showed them the pictures of "Stella" that were sent to us. We were so excited, and the road to Montana is so beautiful. We'll always remember that drive!
We knew as soon as we met her it would be over, and it was. She was the sweetest little thing ever!!! We put down our deposit and couldn't wait to come get her in another week.
We left knowing that we'd be back in a week to get our girl. So we had a week to puppy-proof the house and order our pup supplies...
