The Last Day of School for the Lochheads

We had a weird ending to the year...the last day was supposed to be today, Friday, 6/17...but then we had a snow day and the schedule had no make-up days.  So technically, there was a half day of school, on Monday, 6/20...but the Lochheads didn't go!  We had our camping plans set way back in November, and Jeff's principal said they had things covered, so we treated 6/17 as our last day.

We got to get a picture with Mrs. Wunsch on Micah's last day.  He had SUCH a great year with her.  He said he'd remember all of the fun art projects...and the bag of SOCCER JERSEYS from her son, Gavin, that she sent him home with one day.

The 8th graders had an Awards Ceremony that day and I met Jeff to see Grace get her award for having great, amazing grades in her classes!  So proud of this girl.  She was relieved to be able to stand next to Hailey--it's worked out well, being a Lochhead and having a Magee friend.

And then the 8th grade field trip was going to Pattison's!  Jeff got to chaperone...

All of the school projects and supplies come home on the last day of school.  Our kids' piles of things SAT in our kitchen for a week, because as soon as we could, that night we took off for our week at Riley Creek!

We made it!  Smores that night made it feel like we'd been in summer for...at least six hours.
