We were pretty boring while Grace was at camp...books and plants...swimming with Travis at their secret swimming hole...going all over town looking for blue hydrangeas for G'ma Joan...it was pretty slow while Grace was gone.

Camp Spalding, 2021
Grace went to Camp Spalding this summer! She was so sad to miss it last year, in 2020 when everything was skipped, so this year she was excited to go. She was in the upper, UPPER, cabin this year--did I know there was a cabin so far away from everything?!?--and had a fun time with Lucia and Sydney and campers that she's connected with in the past. We really missed her at home...it was not quiet, but her calm and quirk was definitely missed.

YARD SALE!!!
The weekend had finally come to host a YARD SALE. We spent the week collecting our extras (even from Granny's garage, if you can believe it!) and posting some pictures on Craigslist. Scott and Colleen wanted to join in on the fun, so they brought a stash from their garage and even brought some things from their neighbor who had just lost her husband. It was a lot of work to put it together, and the boys talked me into selling for TWO DAYS...so Friday and Saturday were spent in our breezeway meeting neighbors and sorting through STUFF.

Coming off of Raspberries and Anesthesia
Raspberry picking and jam-making!!! This is my favorite July day of the year...
This year Kai was with us...and treated us to crepes for lunch!
And Megan had her surgery and we came by to wish her well. She was quite entertaining, coming off of her anesthesia. :)

Salmon le Sac with Auntie Julie
Julie had let us borrow her trailer for our Riley Creek trip, so we turned around and took it back to her...only to continue on with her on a camping trip to Salmon le Sac! We'd been wanting to go here with Julz, as we've heard of her family camping here all the time while she was growing up.
We went down to the creek as soon as we got there...Julie limped down on her one good ankle. She was such a trooper going camping on her bum leg!
We played dice games on several nights...and one night Micah slipped and hit his head on the steel stairs of the camper. It was so scary! He got quite a knot right away and was quite queasy. Jeff and I hoped all was okay and kept a close eye on him. Luckily he pulled though and we didn't have to think about locating the nearest Emergency Room.
