Happy Birthday, TWO you!

Gracie's birthday was filled with SETS OF TWO...

TWO BLUEBERRY PANCAKES wearing TWO GLOWING CANDLES (that she wasn't too sure of..."Mommy help blow out.")

TWO GRANDPARENTS, G'ma Joan and Papa Greg, spent the night and when Grace got up on the morning of her birthday she got to snuggle with them. How spoiled we were to have them here all day with us! It rained and rained and rained and we were snug in our house celebrating Gracie and hanging up finishing touches in Joshy's room. In these pictures Gracie is watching G'ma go out to the car to get her birthday present...

...TWO FLOORS in the Little People dollhouse that entertained her with its fun sounds: a ringing doorbell, flushing toilet, ringing telephone...

Thanks, G'ma and Papa! TWO FUN!!!

TWO BOYS in the house today: Joshy and Papa. Daddy had to work and never had he wanted to be home more badly! Papa Greg used his handyman skills to help us put up Josh's quilt hanger and picture holder up on the nursery walls. I (Ellie) even got to have an hour date with Papa to go to the hardware store and Zips to bring home lunch. Classic daughter-father outing! (This is when Gracie had the nap/poop incident...NUMBER TWO on her fingers! So glad G'ma Joan was home to wash hands!)

TWO TABLES put together at Fat Daddy's to fit TWO SETS of grandparents and TWO ADORING PARENTS. Papa Scott and G'ma Colleen met us here to help celebrate Grace's day.

Once she'd eaten her food and opened her present from G'ma Colleen and Papa Scott--cute skirt and shirt!--she got TWO TRIPS over to the little arcade area in the restaurant to play Ms. PacMan.

We will never forget at the end of our dinner when the server came over to get our check and said something to Gracie about her messy fingers. You could actually see the wheels turning in Gracie's head as she thought about her messy dinner fingers and then she remembered her nap time fiasco--and parents were thinking, don't say it!--and she replies to the server, "POOP on my fingers!" Lovely. :)

It was a great day, for Miss Gracie! She kept talking about her flaming party coming up and who was coming: "Abby/Megan coming, K-K/'Eah coming..." She was very excited to answer the question of how old she was today and show us two fingers. I don't know if she really understood what was going on, but she loves family and loved the attention she got all day long.
