GymBOOree Tournament...and Trick-or-Treating!

The morning of the 31st, it RAINED.  And RAINED.  And we chose to be in a 3-on-3 tourney.  And Jeff was asked to coach, as the 10-player team had to be split into two 5-player teams.  And our theme was THING 1 and THING 2...

Photo bomb, by Billy.

Super fun.  Super wet.  Super memorable.  (Remind us not to sign up for that next year!)  Luckily, G'ma Colleen and Papa Scott agreed to watch the boys that morning so that we weren't chasing soggy littles.  After the game, all the Birchill/Lochheads met at Scott and Colleen's for a Halloween lunch.  How fun to show off costumes!

Jeff and I always disagree on how to hand out candy...I like to pile it into kids' buckets, while Jeff plays the "just one..." tune when the doorbell rings.  He's a very generous person in every other aspect of his life!  It cracks me up how he tries to lay down the candy law.  So he sent this meme to me and I died laughing.

Our first two stops were Granny and Pappy's and then to Kaitlyn's.  The kids will ALWAYS remember that she was dressed as Pooh Bear!  So awesome.

And then we went T-or-Treating with the Van Sickles and their Whitworth Church group.  Very fun...but we pooped out after an hour!  Home to hand out treats and tuck in kids hyped up on sugar.

Friday Halloween Celebrations

A lollipop queen, Mr. Incredible, and a 50's girl left our house for school on Friday, October 30.

The 50's girl bowled OVER 100?!?!?  Picture sent to Jeff at work.

Teachers LOVE that Halloween falls on a Friday or Saturday.  Next year, though...MONDAY.  Ugh.

Josh's Fall Program

The kindergarteners put on their Fall Concert again this year and Daddy and G'ma Colleen got to watch Josh perform!  He did an amazing job--full of gusto and smiles.

SchnerTempEdmondHeads 2015

The Schneringers came to visit in October! We always look forward to a fall weekend with these friends--but this one was extra special, as we got to meet little Ethan Schneringer!

Green Bluff!  We can't get enough...

Do you FEEL the longing to be a jumper?  Whose mean parents belong to these sad kids?

Kaitlyn came along with us, and we ran into Shena and Daniel!

I had to send this to Linnea--she nannied for Connall and Caylin.

We couldn't get him off of the tractor.  Buttons, knobs, gears, steering wheels!

The annual calzone meal!  I love to see these growing kid pics each year...

And we came home to THESE...

Tomatoes from only TWO plants...I'd been bringing them in all fall, but this was the day I harvested them all...tired of chancing the freeze!

And these rugrats loved going to swim at the YMCA...
