Whitworth Church Campout 2016

 Setting up at Marshall Lake! This year the Van Sickles got to join us because they didn't go to Juneau...they went over Christmas instead.  We couldn't be happier about that choice!

 

Uncle Matt put the kids on a photo scavenger hunt one day while the adults played Splendor in the camper!

They took some great pics...I don't quite remember who the winning team was...but I'm sure the kids remember!

Debbie and Daniel and Pokemon Go!

I know technology secludes us, but on this day, I remember Pokemon Go bringing us together for a fun adventure.  We went downtown with Debbie and Daniel to do some Pokemon GO-ing and had a blast!!!

 

 

And then we came home and had to Pokemon Go around our neighborhood.  And show Auntie the neighborhood bunnies, of course.

What a fun time to spend with Daniel and Debbie.  I can't quite believe he's all grown...I knew him when he was Grace's age!!!

Grace Conquers the Bike!!!

She's riding, folks!  It's been haunting and taunting her for MONTHS.  And here she is...riding!  We told her that the church campout is coming up and it would be SO AWESOME to take her bike...AND Debbie and Randy were here to witness it all!  It doesn't get to be better timing than this!

 Daniel came to visit!  He didn't go to Kokanee with Debbie and Randy, but came by to see them on their way through.  We got to have some fun with him...he introduced our kids (and Jeff and I, let's be honest) to POKEMON GO!

And Catan HAD to happen, of course.  Such fun times!

Anthony turns EIGHT

We are always up for Chuck E. Cheese...well, now that our kids are over their paralyzing fear of furry mascots.

Granny and Pappy's

We snuck by Granny and Pappy's for the usual fun--book reading and car ramp-ing.  Granny loves to read with the kids.  Pappy loves to read the paper.  :)

Gracie's FARM CAMP

So then it was Gracie's turn.  And G'ma did some of Gracie's favorite things:

 1. SWIMMING WITH MEGAN at George and Connie's pool

 2. And SHOPPING.  Summer lemon dress for the sweet girl

 And then her family had to end her SPECIAL time by joining in on the Farm Fun.  We came down for the day to pick her up.  THREE nights of being an only grandchild...she loved every minute!

While Josh was gone we had NO FUN.

...Well, maybe just a little fun...but not as much as he had at the farm!  What were we supposed to do?  Sit in the corner and twiddle our thumbs for two nights?

Josh Goes to FARM CAMP

This summer we tried to have both Josh and Grace go down individually for "G'ma Camp" this summer. They always go to the farm together, and this gave them special individual time with G'ma and Papa.  Yay, retirement, G'ma Joan!!!  This joker was teasing me about losing his tooth in the first picture, and then he REALLY DID lose his tooth in the second two.  And the infamous Springer Eating Joshy's Tooth story will live on in infamy...

Life Lessons from Fizzie's

When life gets you down, just pull yourself up...onto the pinball machine.

And then go across the parking lot to the Fairwood Farmers' Market and get a pink unicorn balloon.  This girl melts me.

It finally happened...

...individual LIBRARY CARDS!  I put it off for months, thinking I'd never be able to manage three family library cards.  But the sweet librarian told me that they'd link both of the new accounts to my email address, so I'd be on alert.  Goodbye, 50-book limit!  (Now 150?!?  Heaven help us!)

Housesitting 101

The kids were more than happy to housesit for Uncle Drew and Aunt Annie for a few days in July.  The weirdest thing happened, though...we opened up the fridge and these foods were staring back at us!  Those Lochheads are BI.ZARRE.

Oh, Those Summer Nights

Summer nights are meant to be spent at the Kendall Yards Farmers' Market!  Green, pizza on the sidewalk, strolls to the park, and Fannie's Ice Pops!  Life is so good...
