Jeff Turns FORTY!

Jeff's birthday started out with a few extra kids in the house!  We watched Tenley and Declan before school, as their Whitworth student was home for Christmas break.  Jeff took the day off today, so as soon as the kids were at school we jetted down to Ladder Coffee downtown.  I was very excited to get him there to give him his present:  a collection of notes and letters from friends and family!  The days leading up to this, I'd been getting emails and letters to include in his gift, and secretly I'd been printing them off.  I was aiming for FORTY NOTES on his FORTHIETH BIRTHDAY, and we got pretty close!  Jeff was overwhelmed with all of the kind words and wishes from friends.  Success!  (I was also pretty stoked about the indoor plant nursery that was inside the coffee shop!). We then ran an errand or two and ended up having lunch with his parents at Ruins.  Spiced eggnog (at lunchtime) for the win!  Of course that evening was Josh's Holiday Musical performance and Jeff said there was nothing he'd rather do on his birthday...and Josh had been keeping the surprise that HE HAD A SPEAKING PART in the play.  A sweet surprise for Jeff on a sweet, sweet day.
