November SNOW DAY!!!

A glorious snow day on the last day of November!!!

TWELVE INCHES coming down all day...teens sleeping in and going back to bed...cheesy Netflix Christmas movies...kids romping with Nessa in DEEP SNOW--snowball baths!...fake fireplace on the screen...finishing Christmas decor and ordering Christmas cards...shoveling, snow-blowing, and Micah's foxhole carving...Grace making cookies...the new Grinch Movie...quiet stilling of the soul during Advent--miracles!...Jeff skinning up Mt. Spokane and getting pulled out of the parking lot!

Jeff skinned up Mt. Spokane and skied down...we were not surprised! He almost got stuck in the parking lot, crazy boy! I keep telling him, SNOW DAYS are for STAYING HOME!!!

Annual Lochhead Tree Acquisition

We did it again! $5 tree from Colville Nat'l Forest! This year we had snow to trek through...and Nessa LOVED it! Snowballs everywhere to be picked off...

It was a perfect tree. Don't know how we'll live up to this one!

Nolan Turns ONE

On Friday Mom & I dug dahlia bulbs--no promises! it was cold!--and cleaned up the flower beds along the house. Sweet heaven for us, even in the cold. A job well-done and ready for winter! Then Mom and Dad went to see Shirley and Sandy Alderman, as George had passed away on Thanksgiving Day. Then we all gathered at the Mosers to celebrate Nolan's FIRST BIRTHDAY! It was a Braveheart/Apple Cup theme--kilt and halftime party to boot! A sweet one-year old boy, surrounded by adoring family. A great ending to a sweet farm visit.

Thanksgiving 2022

Thanksgiving was so sweet this year! We had a full house on Thursday--all of the Mosers, Morrows, and Lochheads were home and we were joined by Jerry & Shey, Candy, and newlyweds Levi & Kat! G'ma Trudy came for a couple of hours, too, happy to be home from the hospital but still quite tired. I think it was so hard to not have Papa LeRoy here, especially at this time of year.

It was a sweet day of food, card-playing, name-drawing, kitchen-cleaning, story-sharing and puzzling. It didn't end until after 10PM! Worth the dead-tiredness. Happy, happy hearts.
