Jeff submitted lottery requests for the Angel's Landing hike and we got them! The kids were STRESSED as we approached Zion, we'd heard crazy things about people dying on the trecherous hike! The big kids remembered Zion, but Micah was the baby in the pack who kept losing his binky in the river in the Narrows, so it felt like the first time for him!
The hike was AMAZING!!! Right before the roped off permit only part of Angels' Landing started, we all made it up Walter's Wiggles: so many switchbacks! Grace and I decided to forego the roped-railing section of the trail that the boys started. Micah made it a ways up but then came back down...Jeff and Josh made it even further! Breathtaking views, a lovely, lovely day. It just started to rain as we were hiking back to the car...so we got fries at the lodge, Micah got his Zion sweatshirt, and we drove the other side of the park, spying rams and LOTS of red rock.
Our next AirBB had a hot tub and golfing green in the backyard! Cedar City was a nice launch point for the next few days.
The next day IT SNOWED so we decided to take a rest day. We played games, read, completed a puzzle, watched March Madness games, and ate amazing pizza in town that night...oh, and the boys golfed at hot-tubbed in the snow. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nessa was living the good life: CAMPING with G'ma & Papa and her bestie, Mully.
