Gracie was so excited to find out that her preschool got to go on a field trip to the library, where we have attended story time off-and-on for the last few years. She knew Miss Christie and bless her heart, Miss Christie remembered her, too.
Gracie is a story time expert. She knows just how to do it. We're noticing that Gracie is very observant in new situations. She just takes things in with her eyes the first time she goes somewhere. At her friend Avery's birthday party, Gracie stood back and watched quite a bit of it...and then on the way home she talked and talked about it. We're pretty sure this is just going to be Gracie. But once she's familiar with something, watch out! She'll let you know just how it's done. Miss Precision. :)
Wild horses (or moms who are interesting in participating in story time) couldn't DRAG Joshy away from the childrens' movie section. He kept sucking in air in excitement when he'd find another DVD that he knew something about. And just for the record, I had my first full-length conversation with Josh the other day...
J: Moo-ee nigh? (Movie night?)
Me: Maybe so...we'll just have to see.
J: I pih? I pih? (I pick?)
Me: If you got to pick, what movie would you pick?
(See him standing on the stool at the kitchen counter, tilting his head, going through his movie list...)
J: Li Ki? (Lion King?) Noooooo... Puh-puh? (Rapunzel?) Noooooo... Oh-nah? (Jonah?) Nooooo.... Oy oy? (Toy Story?) Oy oy!!!
He is Mr. Intensity. :)
