"Auntie Camp" w/ Auntie Sheyanna (and trusty elves Brookie and Levi)

My sweet aunt, Sheyanna, called us as we were making our way down to the farm for Christmas.  It was a Friday, and Weber Christmas was being held on Sunday.  Shey was thrilled that she caught us and wondered if she could have Gracie and Joshy join her for a morning of Auntie Camp the next day.

Sheyanna's mission, we later found out, was to have them make a Christmas gift for us.  The day before Camp, Gracie was quite concerned whether I was staying or leaving during Camp time.  I told her we'd go with the flow but I wouldn't leave her if she didn't want me to.  On the way to Sheyanna's the next day she said from the backseat:  "Mom, I want you to leave during Camp."  Wow.  When I laughed and asked her why she said, "I want to have Auntie all to myself."  :)

The bonus was that Brooke and Levi were there to help!  So they all crafted for a couple of hours while I ran across the street and did some housework for G'ma while we visited.  When I came to pick them up they were watching cartoons, eating Gingerbread cookies.

I tried to drag out of them what they worked on, but these kids can keep secrets!  The only hint I got was that night when Joshy asked me if I would look at his feet and tell him if he still had paint on them.  They did have a sickly green tinge to them...  :)

And the next day at Weber Christmas, Jeff and I opened THESE works of art!  Very nicely done, children!  I giggle just thinking about how Sheyanna, Brooke, and Levi got paint successfully on little feet and then OFF little feet without painting the kitchen floor!

Sheyanna mentioned this being an annual tradition and I'm thinking that's a fabulous idea!
