Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We surprised Jeff at work on his birthday--showing up with balloons and bread!  Gracie insisted on a princess balloon--which I just heard is still in his room at the end of January!  This was our fun act of love for Daddy on his day.  It was a bit of a circus getting us all there.  This was after Joshy's preschool party.  I remember picking up Grace from Kindergarten and taking them straight to Taco Time for lunch--the drive-thru because Micah needed to nurse.  So we ate lunch in the Fred Meyer parking lot, the kids watching a DVD in the back while I nursed Micah in the front.  I definitely had sleep deprivation brain, because we watched the DVD with the engine OFF, thus creating a dead battery which Pappy came to assist with…ugh!  But once the battery was jumped, we were off to Jeff's work.  I wanted to get him a Dutch Bros. coffee, but took the freeway without thinking and decided to settle for a coffee from the local stand (sub-par!) to save on time.  Kids in tow, stroller laden with baby, balloons, coffee and friendship bread (yes, my MOTHER brought a new mother a start of "friendship" bread!  She won't hear the last of that!) we sign in at the office and get the elevator key to make it up to Jeff's room.  Daddy was excited to see his kids and get more caffeine--though twenty minutes later back in the car, I sighed and started home for NAPS!

That night we went to Red Robin for dinner!  Matt and Heidi spontaneously joined us with their family and we had such a great time.  :) This was the year that Jeff got his new bike--and his wife got him an ID bracelet to wear when he's on the road.  :)
