City of Refuge

Since Linnea was in Europe last semester, she did her Junior Art Show this December, during her senior year.  Her work was amazing and so reflective and insightful.  She shared through her art the intense feelings that she experienced while growing up with an alcoholic father.  She had some amazing photography paired with some poignant journal entries that she'd written over the years.  But what took the cake was the enormous tumbleweed sculpture she created to represent a City of Refuge that was mentioned in the Old Testament.  Placed within this safe barrier were pieces of broken glass and bits of paper that people had written their brokenness on and placed within the mess of branches. It was so extremely meaningful...and talented!  We were so proud of the work that she put into her art!

Linnea's brother and mom were present to support Linnea, as were many of her professors, classmates, and friends.

We love this lady!  We can't wait to see what God has in store for her and her talents.
