Husband Quirk
We are back from ten days of camping. Guess who DVR'ed the last NINE DAYS of the Tour de France and is slowly watching them all--even though he knows who won...?

Day 8--Port Townsend
On our last full day of vacation, we went into Port Townsend to experience the water at Fort Worden and to see the Marine Science Center. We saw quite a few bald eagles, river otters, and intertidal creatures. And that was in the bay! At the science center we got to see and touch quite a few creatures. We ate out and toured the town, having Jeff and Grace point out where they stayed when they came with Mead Alternative the year before.
Our last picture is of Josh, showing his art that he'd been working on all week at the KOA clubhouse. He'd ride his bike up there every day and color a little more. Such a fine piece of artwork!
We went home the next day, and no pictures were taken. We were tired but quite grateful for the woods and the sea that we got to experience for TEN DAYS. Whew! And now we need a vacation to recover from our vacation! :)

Day 8--The Hoh River Valley and Ruby Bay
This was a gorgeously green trail...I remember log-walking to get to the water to eat our lunch...and then Julie trying to avoid the bees!...rock skipping...banana slugs...and then off to Ruby Bay to get some waves. On the way home, Jeff stopped at Crescent Lodge to get his coffee mug--and Grace's sweatshirt!!!
