This was a memorable day for Cassie...and for us. Debbie hosted a goodbye party for Cassie, as her plan was to leave 10 days later. The party was a sweet time of church and school friends--the teacher table was full of gossip over who was teaching what next year, and Joe was the lone male from LSE. Just as the party was disipating, Cassie got a text from her mom, telling her to call home before she left the party. Cassie called to find out that her dad passed away, to the surprise of many. This news started a fast-forwarded version of her plan to leave town. We all pitched in to help her get things ready to leave for CA in 4-5 days. It was so beautiful to see so many people come around Cassie during this unexpected chapter.
