Bryce Canyon and Back to Salt Lake City

It was hot.  And we were tired.  But the drive along the top of Bryce Canyon was beautiful!  I think it was hard to follow Zion...but we didn't get out to hike here because we were on our way back to Salt Lake to stay with Debbie's parents and it was a long drive.  But we drove along and got out at the pull-outs to see the amazing rock that creates the amazing hoodoos in this landmark canyon.  We thought of Granny and Pappy a lot--they loved to hike here.

 Missing one...Gracie was too hot and tired to make it into this picture.  She's sitting, wilted on a rock, just a few feet from us.

 We slapped Gracie's hand for carving her name on one of the log fences...  :)

Our group picture at the turn-around!  Now nap time for all but Julie and Ellie--we took over the command station in the front seat of the van and got the crew to Salt Lake City safely.  Good chat time while the rest slept.  And watched a movie.  And dropped binkies.  Diet pepsi and candies from the gift shop got us through.

 Chic-Fil-A picnic at a splash pad was JUST what these kids needed after a day in the car!

And we were so happy to finally arrive that night at Yancey and Greg's!
