Fourth at the Farm

Oh, how fun to have friends down to share the 4th!  They'd already made a carnival the night before--complete with prizes from Alea for winners--and had been in the kiddie pool and had stayed up giggling, and I'm sure they took a bath in the big tub...  

But the parade was another anticipated highlight.

Oh, and I have to insert the little piece of writing that Gracie brought home about the 4th...

 Candy:  check!

Parades: check!  Wearing stars:  check, check!  It's my favorite holiday, too.  :)

Matt and Jeff went down to Johnson early to get a good spot--and to eat breakfast at the Legion--so it was so nice to just walk right up to our shaded spot waiting just for us!

We've been practicing waving The Grand Old Flag all month long.  Micah knows how to do this so well!

It was SO, SO hot.  We were quite happy to get back into the AC car!

I love this picture.  The boys wanted to run down the driveway.

And Katie brought FRUIT PIZZA to make for dessert at the bbq!
